True Tone is designed to take the surrounding light levels and temperature and then adjust the color and intensity of the device’s display to match. Apple believes this lets the display appear more natural while also preventing eye strain.

True Tone is a feature on iPhone 8, 8 Plus, X, XS, XR and up that adjusts brightness and color based on your surroundings.

Sometimes when you get your screen replaced at some shops, those shops do not transfer the data needed to keep that function on your iphone.

 

Most shops need to transfer that data when they have the original screen or it can be lost indefinitely. At our shop however we can restore that functionality, even if you no longer have the Apple original screen.
