Two common issues with charging are faulty charge cables or debris in charge port. Try charging a different phone with your cable or using a different cable on the phone in question. If cable seems fine, check charge port for debris. This is usually common when connection seems wobble or cable does not "click" into charge port. If that is case, clean debris out of charge port.

Did you recently drop your phone? Does it have a crack going through full width of the screen? If touch is not working due to drop damage, this typically can be fixed with a screen repair.
